Tell me what you hold. Rough numbers still show overlap, cost and drift clearly — you do not need to look anything up.
What You Will Find Out
Six things about the money you already have invested. Every one of them is a fact that can be calculated from your holdings and shown to you — figures, not opinions.
How Your Money Is Actually Split
How much of your money sits in equity, how much in debt, and how much in hybrid funds — as a percentage of your total. Most people are surprised by this number, because it is the result of years of separate decisions nobody has ever added up.
Whether Your Funds Are Buying the Same Shares
Two flexi cap funds can hold largely the same companies underneath. If they do, holding both spreads your risk far less than owning two funds suggests. You will see how much your funds actually overlap.
What Your Funds Charge You Every Year
The average expense ratio across everything you hold, and what that works out to in rupees a year at your current value. A real cost, taken from the published expense ratio of each scheme — not an estimate.
Whether a Fund Still Does What It Promised
A fund you bought as a large cap fund can drift over time into mid caps, which changes the risk you are carrying without you doing anything. Each scheme is checked against its own SEBI category and its latest published portfolio.
The Return You Have Actually Made
Not the return the fund advertises — the return your own money has earned, worked out from the dates and amounts you actually invested. For most people this is a different number from the one on the fund page, and it is the one that matters.
Whether This Matches the Goal You Have
A plain comparison between what you hold now and the goal and time frame you tell me below. Where the two do not line up, you will see it, along with the numbers behind it. What you do about it stays entirely your decision.
What the Health Check Is Not
It Will Not Tell You What to Buy or Sell
A Portfolio Health Check measures what you hold and reports the numbers back to you. It is not investment advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or switch anything. No part of it tells you what you should own.
It Is Not a SEBI-Registered Advisory Service
This is not a SEBI-registered advisory service, and it is not offered as one. Amol Deshmukh is an AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Distributor, holding ARN-220322, and is not a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser. If you want advice tailored to your circumstances, that is a different and separately regulated role — please consult a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser.
You Will Not Get a Written List of Switches
You receive the findings. Anything that arises from them is discussed in conversation — you are welcome to ask what a number means and how it was arrived at. What you will not receive is a written list of schemes to exit, schemes to enter, or a switch plan. None is issued, on request or otherwise.
Why It Is Free
No fee is charged for a Portfolio Health Check and no payment is taken on this page. Charging you to assess your holdings would make this something else entirely — a regulated advisory activity requiring SEBI Investment Adviser registration, which is not held here. How distribution work is actually paid for is set out plainly in the Terms & Conditions. Read it before you act on anything.
